I designed, patterned and constructed the entire costume myself. The costume is made out of red casa satin and several printed cottons. I ruffled several yards of fabric to create the details used throughout this costume, stitched on the white pom poms for added cuteness (to go with the fairy tale theme!), attached eyelet lace and other trims, and made heavily interfaced bows to attach and detach from the front of my hood and on the back of my waist (the one on my back is barely visible in the pictures). This costume was constructed in about 2-3 days specifically for Halloween this year (2009), and totaled about 20 solid hours of stitch-work.
