This is a costume inspired by waking the dead. We took a foam board and cut a hole in the middle for my son, then my hubby took PVC pipes and made a harness for him to wear that went over his shoulders and under the foam board so that it would stay flat & not tilt down. Then we covered it with moss, leaves and a black crow. I attached a foam head stone to the back which light up when he walked. We then did the standard zombie makeup and clothes. He got many compliments on it.

Dillon wanted to be a headless guy for Halloween this year. We started with a backpack with a handle taped up for the support. I used copper pipe insulation for the arms and back. Then wired in some batting for the shoulders, sides and chest. Used red felt in the neck hole, some fake blood, gloves with some wire in them so they would bend a little.Add the overcoat and Wa la, he’s headless.

I had a creative hand in every part of my costume. The suit is a previously bought suit I tailored to fit me. I dirtied up the suit and white button up shirt to be graveyard appropriate. My stomach is made with a pillowcase full of batting. I made the carousel headpiece out of cardboard and masking tape. I painted it using homemade stencils and tape. The small monsters hanging from the carousel are handmade designs by me that I made out of felt. The entire outfit is lit with five strands of battery operated mini lights attached to the headpiece and tie with tape and glue. I did my makeup with white and black makeup, spirit gum, eyeliner, and fake moss. My wig was a bought wig that I redid by cutting it and spraying painting and adding moss and leaves. My spiral arms are made with black and white material that I made to match the suit. I sewed and filled them with batting, rolled them up, and attached them to gloves. Everything in my costume I made or altered except the black boots. This was an extremely fun, exciting costume to wear! I have always wanted to do it, and I am glad I finally took the time (a month lol) to make it!

This costume really turned heads! My take on an oldie-but-goodie horror icon from the classic film, The Exorcist. The pajama gown (which I wore BOTH frontwards and backwards throughout the night to simulate my head spinning around) was bought at a local department store. The front was stained with green food coloring, glue and some dry oatmeal for texture. The wig was gelled to simulate greasy and knotted hair. Each of the “wounds” was hand made by me using some liquid rubber latex, some tin foil and a little grease paint. A little make-up and a pair of “Angelic Yellow” contact lenses and I was good to go!

Hi! My name is Christine and my costume this year was Regan the demon possessed girl from the movie The Exorcist! There were no costumes for her so I had to make everything my own from scratch..I bought a cheap nightgown from a thrift store and made my own homemade vomit which consisted of lime green fabric paint, glue, and baby powder..mixed it up and started painting I don’t normally have bangs so I bought a clip in bang for that effect..I did all my own wounds using tissue and liquid latex, and I bought really really cool demonized contact lenses which really made the costume POP! and I even went so far as to include a homemade bed that I made out of cardboard, attached old sheets to it, made a pillow, stapled it on there..and got inside and strapped around me, then put a blanket over my body so you couldn’t see that I was strapped in…I made it so I could walk with it everywhere and I could even “sit down” hehe..it took ALOT of work but I was VERY happy with the result and I creeped people out all night..they didn’t wanna look at me haha!
