I turned our Radio Flyer wagon into a lighted city of Metropolis to be saved by Superman and Supergirl. 14 buildings, including the Daily Planet, The Church of I Pray it Doesn’t Rain, a phone booth (Superman’s changing room), and Luthorcorp are lit with 240 Christmas lights plugged into a portable power source.

I made this costume for an office party and to chaperon my nephews for trick-or-treating.
It is home-made out of a roll of thin neoprene, layered and glued onto a long-sleeved t-shirt. The utility belt is a Koren-War era ammo belt painted yellow and the ‘boots’ are soccer shin guards with neoprene glued to them. The cape is the same material held together with black carpet tape holding the seams together. The ‘batarang’ is cut out of 1/4″ Sintra plastic and is dangerous when thrown. The cowl was the only thing I bought for this costume. I’ve had a lot of fun wearing this at Halloween and have always gotten compliments on it. Enjoy!

I like to be costumes that no one else is. So, I was browsing around characters from early 90′s cartoons, and found Megavolt. There was so much to make and do with it, so I decided I would make my boyfriend be Darkwing Duck, the less involved costume, so I could be Megavolt. We made almost everything. I even made my shirt out of spandex the day of. The battery is an office water jug covered in foam.

This is a costume I did for 2010. I made it with huge hands and arms(the arms have a clothes dryer metal hose at the elbow joint for movement and a wood rod inside to move the arm), tall feet and legs(the feet have 2×4 stilts built right in to them)for the paints i used purple spandex and tried to pull and glue it across a foam muscle base.The entire body is made from hand carved foam muscles,a layer of white spandex glued for a smooth layer and liquid latex over that.Almost all of the materials can be purchased at your local fabric shop or even picked up from stuff you may have laying around your house. the entire suite is only 30 lbs and is over 8 foot tall. This project took 3 1/2 weeks working 6-8 hours a day. I hope you enjoy it.

I’m very creative and I’ve always been involved in art. Last year was the first year I’ve done anything more than put powder on my face (thanks mom) for Halloween. I had so much fun with it I couldn’t believe what I’d been missing out on all my LIFE!! This year I decided to take it even further.

I LOVE X MEN so that is where my character is based. I’ve been researching the character for a while so I am very aware of her background and look. I’ve been searching and collecting different pieces that embody the character and I’ve got her completely down pact. My interpretation is not the Hollywood version it’s sexy and edgy, and still true to the character!!!

My little boy wanted to be his favorite superhero NIGHTTCRAWLER from the comic book series X-MEN! Uh-oh! There were no costumes available! So, we made this costume from scratch and replicated the X-Men movie! He loved it and while he was BLUE his friends were GREEN with envy over how cool he was!

My son decided he wanted to make up his own superhero and be that character for Halloween. He came up with “Freeze Flame”, superhero who is half fire and half ice. I made the whole costume myself by using black sweats and shirt as the base and cutting and sewing pieces of felt on top. He was thrilled with it!
