Transformers Costumes
Few modern pop culture creations have stimulated as much excitement as the Transformers. The concept of robots that can conceal themselves as ordinary mechanical objects is a unique and captivating idea. The beloved animated series from the 1980’s has made a very big (and lucrative) comeback recently with the Transformers movies from Michael Bay. Wildly popular, these films full of intense visual effects have greatly spurred interest in all things Transformers… including Transformers costumes.
The Transformer charm is due in part to its large cast of robotic characters, such as the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime. Optimus Prime is something of an archetype of a great leader and a self-sacrificing hero; as a result, he makes a fine boy’s costume. Many boys really look up to the Optimus Prime character. The fact that Optimus Prime is a super-powerful robot that can turn into a truck doesn’t hurt anything either.
While Optimus Prime is one of the most popular of the Transformers, Bumblebee, the lovable yellow Transformer that can turn from a car into a powerful robot, is not to be overlooked. One reason the Bumblebee costume is such a hit is that a great deal of attention went into its design. Of course, the eye grabbing bright yellow also makes it a costume that kids will gravitate to as well.
Halloween is a fun time for kids of all ages and the pure adrenalin of the Transformers makes them a great pick for kids looking for an action packed costume for Halloween. With a Transformers costume, little kids and big kids alike can pretend they are something quite powerful and rather unique.
