Bird in a Cage Costume

“This is my 10-year-old daughter dressed as a bird in a cage. I built the cage out of dowel rods (soaked in water then bent) pushed into a styrofoam shaped bell at the top and then drilled holes into a hula-hoop for the base and attatched a cardboard bottom. The bird costume we made from a leotard embellished with feathers then made feather wings, the mask and head piece. All materials purchased from Michaels Craft store except the hula-hoop and the leotard which were items we already had. Total cost $11.97!”
